DesignPLUS Energy Audits : An Easy Path to Big Savings!
An energy audit first identifies how energy & resources are used in a facility, and then recommends ways to improve efficiency and reduce energy costs. In practice today, there are a wide range of audit techniques. The DesignPLUS process follows the standards of practice developed by The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). ASHRAE identifies three different levels of energy audits as follows:
Level 1 - Walk-through Assessment
Level 2 - Energy Survey and Analysis
Level 3 - Detailed Analysis of Capital-Intensive Modifications
Another way we help our clients understand the primary stages in our process are as follows:
A Data Gathering
B Utility Analysis
C Inventory and Review of Equipment Performance
D Measurements and Monitoring
E Identify Potential Energy Conservation Measures
F Analysis of Saving Potential
G Financial Analysis
H Reporting
Following the energy audit, DesignPLUS doesn’t have to pass their clients along to someone else to implement the findings. With their vast knowledge and Professional Engineering Services, they are able to assist their clients with design, retro-fit improvements, and overall energy strategy implementation.
